The Pitch

I am excited to announce my digital artefact project is ‘FOR THE GIRLS AND THE GAYS – THE WASTED EDITION’ drinking game!! This idea stemmed from the fact that drinking games are extremely specific in which they can be played and who they are meant to be played by. My game, however, is designed to be played in groups of four people plus and can be enjoyed in any setting, parties, sleepovers, girls trips, wherever. This comes from the relatable content of the game that can be applied in any setting.

 

Research shows that these card games are trendier between females, whereas physical games are more popular between the male population (Pedersen and LaBrie, 2006).

Studies also show female friendships are more popular with those of homosexual sexuality for a range of comforting reasons (Grigoriou, 2004), therefore this game aims to create inclusivity and is tailored for all those considered “one of the girls.”

 

Upon talking to friends and family about the concept, user feedback has been positive, and they’ve been eager for the product. To form my DA, I need to design each component of the game as well as a brand and further social media advertising to be curated alongside it. In addition, I will be getting at least two copies manufactured: a prototype and a published copy, further manufacturing of my product is yet to be decided.
